Joseph Chang

Joseph Chang is founder, CEO and CIO of Liquibit Capital. He is responsible for managing and overseeing Liquibit’s arbitrage strategy and risk management framework. As CIO, Joseph leads the investment team and supervises all aspects of portfolio management. Before founding Liquibit, Joseph was a Senior Managing Director at Citigroup, Hong Kong where he spent seven years running Equity and Equity Derivative trading and managing the Prime Finance Business in Asia. Prior to joining Citigroup, Joseph had co-headed the Equities business at HSBC and ran equity derivatives trading at Merrill Lynch. Joseph started his 25-year finance career in New York as a junior trader and subsequently worked across complex arbitrage, structured products, risk management and prime finance. Propelled by his work in traditional finance and emerging markets, Joseph’s interests turned to crypto in 2016 when he began developing various trading models. He has an Engineering degree from Boston University and holds an MBA from Rutgers University.
