Professor Winnie Qian Peng is Associate Professor of Business Practice in Finance, Director of the HKUST Roger King Center for Asian Family Business and Family Office, Academic Director of the MSc in Family Office and Family Business Program, and Director of the Thompson Center for Business Case Studies at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). She is also Academic Advisor of Legacy Academy, Academic Advisor of Asia Institute of Art & Finance, Independent Non-Executive Director of ARTA TechFin (a listed financial services company in Hong Kong) and Shanghai ChipON Microelectronics Techonology, and Former Board Member of International Family Enterprise Research Academy (IFERA, the largest membership association of family business scholars in the world). Prof. Peng has 20 years’ dedicated research and teaching experience in the areas of family business and family office. Her work has been published in academic journals as well as international and local media. She has authored numerous teaching and research case studies on family businesses and family offices. She is also the coauthor of the Chinese book “Family Businesses: Dynamics, Equilibrium, and Consolidation, 5th Edition”. Professor Peng offers tailor-made family business and family office courses for HKUST students, family business owners and ultra-high-net-wealth individuals around the world. She is a frequent speaker at local and international conferences. She created the Global Family Leader Succession Program, a flagship program of the HKUST Roger King Center, to nurture transgenerational leaders in business families. Professor Peng received her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Tsinghua University, her PhD in Finance from HKUST. She is also a graduate of the Harvard Business School Executive Education program in Private Equity and Venture Capital.
